MY STORY

Michael Rodriguez Dueñas, a Hollywood, California native, discovered his passion for the entertainment industry and visual storytelling at an early age. Captivated by the ability of storytelling to inspire and connect, he set out to master the art of producing compelling content, a commitment that continues to define his professional journey. As a teenager, Dueñas began his career at 20th Century Fox in the Feature Story Development Department. There, he gained invaluable experience in script development, plot analysis, and character-driven storytelling, learning to craft narratives that resonate with both domestic and global audiences. During this pivotal time, he also photographed several series and produced his second short film for Fox Searchlab, further honing his creative vision. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Visual Culture from the University of California, Riverside.

Dueñas continued to refine his expertise by producing branded, unscripted, and scripted content across the United States and internationally. Collaborating closely with showrunners, executive producers, creative directors, writers, and CMOs, he became a dynamic problem-solver, known for his precision, adaptability, and innovative approach to overcoming production challenges. His ability to manage budgets of varying scales while ensuring client satisfaction underscores his acumen as both a negotiator and a strategist.

In 2019, Dueñas founded MRD Entertainment, a creative content company dedicated to delivering innovative visual storytelling across diverse formats. His portfolio spans a roster of esteemed clients, including ABC, Acura, Adult Swim, Audi, Fox Searchlight, Microsoft, Netflix, Nike, and Universal Pictures, and others. Under his leadership, MRD Entertainment has earned a reputation for producing high-quality, impactful content.

 

In 2022, Dueñas joined Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat as a Branded Content Producer, overseeing the executive producing of branded content and curating top-tier creative teams. His work includes high-profile campaigns such as the Super Bowl DraftKings commercial, Hart’s Gran Coramino tequila spot inspired by the iconic Goodfellas one-shot take, and national campaigns for brands like Chase, Frito-Lay,  and digital content for Hyundai, Pampers, Toyota, and Zyrtec. He served as EP for the Telly-winning docuseries Hart of It All and Co-EP for the hit series Cold As Balls and LOL’s upcoming comedy specials featuring a diverse slate of comedians.

Now based in Los Angeles, Dueñas cherishes time spent with his family, friends, and his beloved dog. He finds inspiration in good food, travel, art, and the vibrant cultural tapestry of his hometown.
